Stronghold Global and its affiliated entities are true global ambassadors in the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Stronghold seeks to remain a pioneer in the fore front of developing a more sustainable world for the generations to come. This initiative is being implemented throughout the entire Stronghold Group in which various entities play a different role in the successful implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Stronghold Global Capital Group the investment banking and financial services division launched its Sustainability framework alongside COP28 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates in 2023. Stronghold played a significant role and has since launched its sustainability strategy in line with its framework which benefits from a second-party opinion by Sustainalytics, a Morningstar company.
The basis of the opinion provided verifies that Strongholds Investment Banking and Financial Services business has a Sustainability Framework which is in line with the International Capital Markets Associations policies and criteria on Green, Social and Sustainable initiatives. In order to measure the impact of the Stronghold Sustainability Framework, we publish on an annual basis our impact report which details and measures the level of impact implemented in society through the utilisation of Stronghold-issued instruments and transactions.
The Project Services division of Stronghold is also implementing its on framework to partake and contribute to our sustainability cause by providing expertise and solutions to decarbonise real assets in the infrastructure, natural resources, real estate and industrial sectors.
Stronghold Project Services is implementing various projects including but not limited to energy efficiency in the decarbonisation of real estate and infrastructure in line with globally recognised criteria’s and certifications such as LEED, BREEM, EDGE, G-SEED, IGBC and the Pearl Rating System and equator principals.
The Stronghold Investment Holding division is a member to the UN’s Principals for Responsible Investment Known as PRI. The Investment holding division complies with the principals when making investment decisions on behalf of its shareholders and beneficiaries. Responsible investment involves considering environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues when making investment decisions and influencing companies or assets (known as active ownership or stewardship). It complements traditional financial analysis and portfolio construction techniques. Through our robust governance structure which consists of key qualified, fit and proper members we ensure any investment decisions uphold the UN’s PRI standards.
